ABSTRACT
ALCTS's e-forum for January allowed a diverse group of library professionals to share some strategies for technical services departments to consider when trying to promote and manage open educational resources (OER). Over the course of two days (January 27th and 28th), participants from dozens of institutions across the country weighed in via e-mail discussion with their thoughts, questions, and concerns on OER initiatives in regards to collection development, acquisitions, licensing and management, cataloging, scholarly communications, and digital preservation.
