Nuove prospettive tecnologiche a supporto della valutazione per l’apprendimento permanente: il caso degli Open Digital Badge

ABSTRACT
Com’è noto, la relazione tra valutazione e tecnologie è rimasta legata a concezioni pedagogiche tradizionali, e cioè alla valutazione all’interno di uno specifico percorso di apprendimento formale. Meno esplorata è invece la relazione tra tecnologie e valutazione degli apprendimenti informali e non formali, attraverso percorsi di apprendimento permanente unici e personalizzati. Gli emergenti Open Digital Badge (ODB), che introdurremo in questo articolo, si configurano come soluzione tecnologica rispondente alla complessa problematica della valutazione dell’apprendimento e per l’apprendimento. Analizzeremo la definizione e le specifiche tecniche degli ODB nonché due brevi studi di caso che esemplificano modus operandi e impatto. Da quanto esaminato emerge che, sebbene il valore dei badge sia ancora a livello potenziale, formulato sul piano concettuale e supportato da soluzioni tecnologiche per l’effettiva implementazione, molto resta ancora da esplorare dal punto di vista della ricerca educativa e sperimentazione didattica.
