ABSTRACT
Os desenvolvimentos tecnológicos vêm impondo mudanças cada vez maiores, mais rápidas e disruptivas. Espelhando a forma como os seres humanos constroem o seu mundo, a web 2.0 trouxe as dimensões da abertura, partilha e colaboração, centrando a ação dos indivíduos nos inter-relacionamentos pessoais colocando-os a interagir, em comunidades diferenciadas, através de ferramentas virtuais (colaborativas). As dimensões pessoal e social possibilitadas pela web 2.0 serão potenciadas pela capacidade da tecnologia semântica presente na web 3.0. Irão permitir de forma especial a personalização. Através da nuvem (Cloud) de dados (Big Data) abertos (Open) e ligados (Linked) a tecnologia é capaz de rastrear comportamentos estabelecendo padrões. Depois de analisar o estado atual da arte no que diz respeito a aplicações semânticas, particularmente na educação, este estudo faz a análise de ‘Serendipity’, um protótipo social-semântico criado por uma equipa da Universidade Tecnica Particular de Loja, no Equador. Sendo um pesquisador inteligente de Recursos Educacionais Abertos OpenCouseWare este motor de busca enfatiza o potencial da web 2.0 combinando com uma arquitetura e linguagem semânticas. Desta sinergia resulta uma efetiva personalização da pesquisa pelo nível de utilidade de que ela é capaz. Cada vez mais aberta e personalizada a tecnologia semântica traz para a educação o reequacionar da educação e dos ambientes de aprendizagem bem como a posição dos seus agentes.
