Dr. Rishi Raj Balwaria is an Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Studies and Education at Navrachana University, Vadodara. With over two decades of experience in academia, research, and administration, he actively teaches and supervises students across a diverse range of programs, including the Bachelor of Education, Master of Social Work, Bachelor of Technology, Data Science, and Doctoral programs in Education. His areas of specialisation encompass Teacher Education and Training, Critical Thinking, Assessment and Testing, Classroom Management, Initial Teacher Training, Research Methods in Education, Action Research, Educational Technology, Research Methodology, and Educational Management.

With more than a decade of experience as a counsellor for the B.Ed and M.Ed programs at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Vadodara Centre, he has also served as an external examiner at the Centre of Advanced Study in Education (CASE), The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Gujarat. In 2006, he was appointed Superintendent of Examinations by SNDT University and later served as Controller of Examinations at Navrachana University, Gujarat, for a year. He has also served as a member of the Content Evaluators team at CIET, NCERT.

He has supervised 12 master-level dissertations in areas such as Education, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Women Empowerment, Smart City Initiatives, Street Children's Education, and Social Media. He was invited as an expert for the Seed Grant project focusing on the impact of critical thinking on the neural behaviour of young individuals.

His professional contributions extend to institutions such as the Global Educational Research Association (GERA), The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, SNDT Women’s University, A.C.T. Academy, K.R. Mangalam University, G.D. Goenka University, IGNOU Centre Vadodara, Guru Kashi University, Dhaka International University, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, and Suresh Gyan Vihar University.

He has authored two books, published 32 research and thematic papers, and presented over 42 papers at national and international conferences, workshops, and seminars. He has conducted more than 26 workshops and training sessions for higher and school education professionals.

As an editorial board member for seven Scopus-indexed journals published by Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, Hipatia Press, Sage, and the Commonwealth of Learning, he has reviewed over 70 international research papers.
