Since 2013 we have developed models and structures to include MOOCs in campus based, traditional education. A study case on integrating MOOCs in courses at Master level is presented and discussed based on questionnaires, reports and live discussions with students. Studying online, open education and MOOCs still represent terms students are not familiar with, in Romania in particular. However, the students' possibility to learn online and to use the valuable knowledge as to enhance the teaching in higher education, gains increased focus. The authors proposed an asynchronous course work to be integrated with the traditional in-class instruction. The paper analyses the students' interaction with MOOCs and discuss topics such as students experience, design, difficulty, and the MOOCs impact. The conclusions present both strengths and deficiencies of both MOOCs and also of this blended learning study case, therefore consisting in good practices for interested tutors.20182018/07IEEE0024-26Romania10.1109/ICALT.2018.000192161-377Xyesmediaonline servicesOpen Educational ResourcessymbiosistoolsMumbai, Romania, Europe
