@inproceedings { attachments = {troutman-2025.pdf}, title = {Got Resources? Bringing OER to the Community}, author = {Troutman, Nicole}, abstract = {This presentation focused on “Got Resources?,” a program developed to share Open Educational Resources (OERs) available on Tennessee State University Libraries and Media Center’s website with the general public. Having discovered that an individual does not need to be affiliated with Tennessee State University (TSU) to gain access to these types of resources through its library, I am passionate about finding ways to make the public aware of what the TSU Library can provide for them. The program is held monthly at a local church that is very supportive of research and education. During each session, I show the attendees how to access and navigate different OERs via the TSU Library’s website, so they will feel comfortable using it for their personal research at home. In this proceeding, I explain what inspired “Got Resources?” and how the meetings are run.}, year = {2025}, month = {08/2025}, language = {English}, journal = {Journal of Open Educational Resources in Higher Education}, volume = {3}, issue = {2}, pages = {41-45}, address = {Tennessee}, country = {United States}, doi = {10.31274/joerhe.20350}, url = {https://www.iastatedigitalpress.com/joerhe/article/id/20350/}, issn = {2831-7254}, refereed = {yes}, keywords = {research, OER, academic resources, public access, scholarly sources}, }
