	abstract = {This paper attempts to examine the use of Open Educational Resources in both higher education and K-12 levels in the United States. Benefits of OER are explored, as are considerations education administrators must give prior to jumping head-first into using OER. Various OER applications are discussed and examples from literature and real-life interview are used to show the benefits of OER and the reluctance that some universities and school districts have in using such new technology that goes against the grain of traditional instructional materials.},
